Fruit Meets Veggies - Wendy's Berry Almond Chicken Salad Giveaway

Fruit mixed in my salad has been an all time favorite of mine.  So, when asked if I was willing to participate in trying out Wendy's new Berry Almond Chicken Salad I was more then happy to say "YES".

This past Memorial day weekend our family headed out to a fun Wendy's lunch where we meet up with two other local blogging families -  Kiranda Mays (This Mommyhood) and Krisy (my Geek Voice) 

Once we arrived we decided it was time to place our orders and test out the yummy salad we had all been admiring in the promotional material around the restaurant.  Then it was time to dig in and try it out - Now remember I love fruit in my salad but was a bit hesitant wondering will this fast food creation be fresh? will it have plenty of fruit  for every bite?  and lastly would I be a returning diner?

After two bites I was SOLD and am one thrilled mommy because I am not a fast food eater but that doesn't mean my children don't enjoy a fast food meal once in a while.  So, now to have this amazing yummy fruity salad option might also mean my children get a few more fast food meals when we are out and about.  I also know one fast food restaurant I will be stopping at this summer during our road trips - Wendy's Berry Almond Chicken Salad here I come.

The Berry Almond Chicken Salad features fresh, tangy, plumpblueberries; fresh California strawberries; California almonds roastedwith sea salt; shaved Asiago cheese; and a warm grilled chicken breast.Topping it off is delicious yet fat-free raspberry vinaigrettedressing, including the nutrient-rich juice of the acai berry.

We enjoyed our visit to Wendy's meeting our new blogging friends and their families and of course the kids loved their out to lunch meal including  the always fun Wendy's toys and frosty treats.
