TerraCycle's purpose is to
eliminate the idea of waste. They do this by creating national recycling
systems for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. Anyone can sign
up for these programs, called the Brigades, and start sending them waste.
TerraCycle then converts the
collected waste into a wide variety of products and materials. With more than
20 million people collecting waste in 14 countries TerraCycle has diverted
billions of units of waste and used them to create over 1,500 different
products available at major retailers ranging fromWalmart
to Whole Foods Market.

Terracycle’s Back-to-School products:
The Frito-Lay Backpack is 10”wide X 13” tall X 5” deep, with
adjustable straps and large outside pocket with zipper. It is red and yellow
featuring upcycled Classic Lays chips packaging.
The Honest Kids Tea Spiral Notebook is made from upcycled
juice pouches and is made with recycled lined paper.
The Rold Gold pencil case that is made from upcycled pretzel
packaging snaps perfectly into a 3-ring binder.
